A credo is a set of beliefs you live by. Not a slogan on a shirt; a standard you hold yourself to when nobody is watching.
We named the house after that idea on purpose. Every piece we make has to earn its place against it. If it does not make the person wearing it stand a little taller, it does not leave the studio.
What we believe
Every empire begins with a belief. Before the store, the drops or the followers, there has to be something you stand for.
Standards over slogans. Ambition is shown in the details: the weight of the fleece, the straightness of a logo, the finish inside the garment.
Heritage is earned forward. We take what New York gave us and add to it. Respect the past; build for the present.
A house, not a logo. CREDO is something you join. The people who wear it are the believers.
Excelsior. Ever upward.
New York State's motto is Excelsior, ever upward. It is the Empire State's credo, and it is ours too. You will find it quietly inside our pieces, never shouted on the outside.
